Hey friend, I’m so glad you are here.
I want you to know that you are welcome here, regardless of what you believe. If you’ve read my blog posts or listened to my podcast episodes, you might have a general idea of what I believe, but here I will outline more specifically my statement of faith.
Statement of Faith
I believe that God is the creator of all things, and that He has revealed himself through his entire creation. Creation is God’s general revelation and shows us his infinite power, beauty, and creativity.
I believe that God exists as three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I believe God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present.
God loves and desires a relationship with every person. Every person has an innate need to be in relationship with God.
I believe the Bible is the specific way God has revealed himself to us so that we can know Him. The Bible, in its original manuscript, is the inspired and inerrant word of God. The Bible is the specific revelation of God and provides us with knowledge of how to come into a relationship with God and live a Christian life.
I believe when sin entered the world, it affected all of humankind and broke the relationship between God and people. I believe each person can be reconciled to God by placing their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and the work he did on the cross and being raised from the dead.
I believe that those who place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and receive the free gift of salvation are granted eternal life. They also receive the Holy Spirit who empowers, comforts, convicts, and guides them in their daily walk. Those who reject God and the free gift of salvation will be eternally punished.
I believe the church is made up of all believers around the world, and that God has given spiritual gifts to its members in order to fulfill the mission of advancing God’s kingdom here on earth. The local church is the most effective way we can work together in unity to spread the Gospel.
I believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth, that there will be a final judgement, that those who have placed their faith in Him will be with Him eternally.
