Maybe you haven’t quite hit your income goals for this year yet. Maybe you’ve been in business for months or even years, and there have been a few clients that have dropped off and you’re needing a cash injection. Or, maybe you just haven’t quite gotten the ball rolling enough to bring in that consistent income on a regular basis. I’m here to help!

The number one way to make a living on the internet is to do one simple thing: solve someone’s problem!

There are various ways to solve someone’s problem, but the fastest way to earn money is to solve someone’s problem with a done-for-you solution.

Why a Done-For-You Solution is the Fastest Way to Earn an Income Online

There are a ton of examples for how creating a done-for-you solution for someone might play out, but consider this:

Example 1:

You are a website designer, and there are 3 options for what you might offer:

  • Person A: This is the person who creates a course about how to design websites.
  • Person B: This is the person who might say, “we’re going to get on, and we’re going to do it together.”
  • Person C: This is the person who might say, “I am going to build your website for you. You’re not going to have to touch anything in WordPress, and it’s going to be done for you.”

Option C is always going to be the easiest thing to sell, and it’s going to be the thing that you can charge the most money for.

There is nothing wrong with options A or B, but if you need money quickly, creating a done-for-you solution is going to be the quickest and best way to make that happen.

Example 2:

Perhaps you’re a coach and you don’t have something traditional to offer in the ‘done-for-you’ category. Consider adding a few “done-for-you” options as a part of your coaching program.

For example, maybe you are a coach who works with parents of teenagers offering weekly check-in sessions with the parent. A done-for-you option to add to your coaching package might include something like daily emails to the parent with a conversation starter to use with their teen every day.

Then on your weekly sessions, you can discuss how those conversations are going with the teenager.

Another idea might be that in your coaching package, you could offer Voxer communication between sessions.

Of course, these are not exactly done-for-you solutions in the traditional sense because you’re not going to be the one coming in and parenting their teen, but these are options to help someone feel more supported and to provide them with resources to experience transformation more quickly.

Offering a way to help people achieve transformation is a great way to add that done-for-you support as a coach or consultant.

Consider This:

In your particular situation, think about these 3 things:

  • Whatever it is you are wanting to sell
  • The transformation you want your clients to receive
  • The change from where your clients are to where they could be with your help

And think about how you are currently trying to provide a solution. Are you trying to provide that solution in:

  • a course?
  • a digital product?
  • a coaching package?
  • a-done-for-you type of solution?

Again, the done-for-you type of solution is going to be the quickest and most effective way to earn income.

2 Questions to Ask Yourself About What You’re Offering in Your Business:

1, Am I solving someone’s problem?

I know this may seem like a no-brainer, but really dig deep and make sure your answer to this question is yes. I see a lot of wonderful offers that don’t really solve anyone’s problems necessarily. If you don’t solve someone’s problem, they are not going to hand over cash. They have to know they have a problem and want that problem solved, and you have to clearly identify what the problem is you’re solving and how that is going to change their life when they solve this problem.

2. Am I solving someone’s problem in a way that makes it easy for them to say yes?

Even if you’re a coach or a consultant where you’re not necessarily going to be implementing something in your client’s business or in their life, make sure that you’re going to do something that makes it easier for them to say yes to your offer by offering a creative way that will make it faster for them to experience transformation.

Now, even if you think you can easily answer ‘yes’ to both of these questions, it is so valuable and important to get some feedback on these questions from someone that isn’t yourself! Ask a few trusted people for their honest feedback about these questions in regard to your biz. Ask them to make sure that your offer is easily understood by others.

The more specific you can be about the problem you’re solving, the easier it makes it to sell. So, get specific and solve a specific problem for a specific type of person.
