An online business has a lot of components, but what’s the one thing you can’t do without? Clients or customers! And it’s not just about the money.
In order to have a business, you need people who will spend money on the thing you are selling. Clients or customers are the lifeblood of business.
You can have a beautiful website, amazing products or services, rocking social media… but if you don’t have anyone buying your product or service, you don’t really have a business.
In today’s episode, I want to share with you 5 key benefits that clients and customers bring to your business. Of course the first, and most obvious thing that clients do for your business is bring in revenue – clients bring cash into your business. Revenue is how you pay your expenses, pay your taxes, and most importantly pay yourself!
While it’s vital, that’s not all clients do for you. I want to share with you 5 more benefits that come to your business through clients and customers.

5 Benefits Clients Bring to Your Business (Besides Income)
Benefit #1: Clients help validate or refine your offers.
The more clients you work with, the more you can refine your product or service. You can improve and get better at meeting their needs and serving them.
Many times what we think our client or customer needs or wants is NOT what they truly want or need… so as you get to work with clients more and more, you will discover this and refine what you are offering.
If something doesn’t sell or sells less than other offers, it helps you to know where to focus.
Benefit #2: Clients will help you develop your own unique systems and processes.
Most of us have a unique way of approaching the work we do, but we don’t always recognize it until we’ve done it with clients over and over.
When you serve your clients or customers, you will develop these repeatable processes that you can develop into a signature system or proprietary process. For example, it could be that you know that all of your clients need to do x first, then y, and finally z.
And guess what? When you have a proprietary process, you become more appealing to clients!
Benefit #3: Clients become a source of referrals.
If you serve your clients well, they will often refer others to you. They will post about you on social media. They will tell friends. They will tag you when they see potential clients posting about what you offer.
Benefit #4: Clients give you choices.
When you have a consistent flow of clients, and you aren’t stressed about paying the bills, you have more choices. You can choose whether to possibly hire someone or maybe invest in that program you’ve been considering.
When you’re struggling to get or keep clients, then it’s harder to make those choices because you may not have as much wiggle room in the budget.
Benefit #5: Clients sometimes become friends!
This one might sound surprising, but it’s true. Especially in the world of online business… you never know when you and a client will really click. Even if you are providing a service, or you’re coaching them, or they are in your membership… a client could also become a friend.
Some of my clients over the years have become close friends and people that I truly look forward to seeing in person (if and when that ever happens).
Where are the clients??
Alright, so you might be saying: “Okay Esther this sounds amazing. I would LOVE to never run out of clients. But HOW do I find more clients? How do I get more people to buy what I am offering?”
I’m glad you asked! I created a training to help you do just that.
It’s called the Consistent Clients Challenge, and it’s happening LIVE Sept. 20-24. If you would like to create a steady stream of clients into your business without selling your soul on social media or feeling like a telemarketer, this is for you.
This challenge is not free-that’s right, you’ll need to invest a little bit (and I mean less than one take out meal) to join. But I truly believe that this training has the potential to have an immediate impact on your business.
To sign up, just go to consistentclientschallenge.com or text the word “CLIENTS” to (207) 544-4103. If you text that word, I’ll send you the details on how to register for the challenge.
